Blooms cover a compact, mounded plant from early summer into early fall, especially when spent flowers are removed. The cheerful flowers attract butterflies and bees and are excellent for cutting. It is tolerant of heat, pests and drier soils, and deer tend to leave it alone. Good drainage is key, as it thrives in sandy or rocky soils.
