Heuchera 'Smoke and Mirrors', commonly known as Coral Bells, is a refined foliage perennial with flat, matte leaves that emerge pewter gray with a rosy blush and mature to smoky gray with darker veining. In mid to late spring, tall dark stems carry light rose flowers that attract hummingbirds and bees. The low, mounding habit makes it ideal for edging, massing and containers, and the evergreen foliage adds interest through winter. This variety is noted for performing well in hot, humid summers, where many coral bells struggle. Plant it in part shade with well-drained, humus-rich soil, and avoid planting the crown too deep.
