Phlox paniculata 'Ka-Pow Lavender', commonly known as Summer Phlox, is a compact garden phlox that bears large, fragrant clusters of soft lavender flowers. The Ka-Pow series starts blooming in late spring, earlier than most garden phlox, and keeps going into late summer on strong, well-branched stems. Its shorter habit makes it a good fit for the front of the border and for containers, and it was bred for good resistance to powdery mildew. The cool-toned blooms combine beautifully with pinks, whites and silver foliage and draw in butterflies and hummingbirds. Plant in full sun to part sun with moist, well-drained soil.
