Veronica longifolia SKYWARD Light Pink, commonly known as Speedwell, is a compact, upright perennial that produces a generous number of slender, tapered flower spikes in soft light pink. Blooming from late spring through summer, the spikes rise on sturdy stems above dense clumps of lance-shaped green leaves and hold up well without staking. The SKYWARD series was bred for a naturally tidy habit and good resistance to powdery mildew, so it stays attractive through the heat of summer. Bees, butterflies and hummingbirds visit the flowers regularly, and the spikes make excellent cut flowers. Plant it in full sun with average, well-drained soil in borders, pollinator gardens or containers, and remove spent spikes to encourage more blooms.
