Veronica longifolia SKYWARD Lilac, commonly known as Speedwell, is a compact, upright perennial covered in slender spikes of soft lilac flowers from late spring through summer. The well-branched plants produce a high flower count on sturdy stems above dense, lance-shaped green foliage, giving a long, steady show of color. Like the rest of the SKYWARD series, it has a naturally tidy habit and strong resistance to powdery mildew. The blooms are a magnet for bees and butterflies and are lovely in fresh arrangements. Grow it in full sun and average, well-drained soil in borders, cottage gardens, pollinator plantings or containers, deadheading spent spikes to keep new flowers coming.
